AKB48 will be a guest Star at NHK's weekly music show called "Utacon" (うたコン) On September 6, 2016.
Utacon NHK is a new music program from NHK; this program began from April 12, 2016 replaced Kayou Concert and Music Japan.
Kayou Concert is NHK's music show that targets traditional 60's - 70's audience and the music are mostly about Enka, while Music Japan brings more Japanese Pop music.
NHK Kayou Concert Ended the program on March 15, and Music Japan Ended on April 4.
Utacon NHK aims to combine those two shows to target all audience from the young to old generation, and make Utacon becomes "rejuvenation" of Kayou Concert and also "the center of Japan music scene".
This Utacon program brings wide range variety of music from Enka to J-Pop performed from NHK Hall, and this show is presented by Tanihara Shousuke (谷原章介) and Hashimoto Naoko (橋本奈穂子).
This show usually last for 45 minutes, but the special show will last for 73 minutes.
The premiere of Utacon NHK also run for 73 minutes with Ikimonogakari (いきものがかり), Ishii Tatsuya (石井竜也) from Kome Kome CLUB (米米CLUB Kome Kome CLUB), a popular contestant from NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen Ishikawa Sayuri (石川さゆり), Yukino Ichikawa, Midori Oka, Christ Hart, a Japanese Enka singer Kitajima Saburo (北島 三郎) and many more
